Dr. Ziebell was born and raised in northern Wisconsin (yes, he likes both cheese and the Packers). He attended the University of Minnesota Duluth and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology (he coincidentally learned to surf on the shores of Lake Superior). After graduating college in 1998, Dr. Ziebell went south to Memphis, TN and attended the Southern College of Optometry to graduate with his doctorate in 2002. Post-graduation residency took him to Salisbury, NC where he worked at the W.G. Hefner VAMC.
Affiliations include the American Optometric Association, North Carolina State Optometric Society; he is a former member of the Armed Services and former Armed Forces Optometric Society member as well as the Piedmont Optometric Society where he once served as secretary-treasurer. Dr. Ziebell has worked in Mooresville since 2006 when he joined and has since purchased the office of Dr. Gary Roach.
Dr. Ziebell resides in Mooresville and enjoys anything outdoors, but you are likely to find him wakeboarding or mountain biking during the summer months and searching for the perfect winter storm to snow ski or snowboard during winter. He enjoys spending time with his family watching his oldest son on the soccer fields in addition to attempting to manage his twin younger boys. While not mentioned by name, Dr. Ziebell greatly appreciates his loving wife in keeping the family together and happy while also maintaining full-time employment at Novant Medical Center.
